Universal Studios can be a bit of a hike in the mornings, and by the time you get inside you’ve worked up an appetite!
Lucky for you, Today Cafe is right inside the entrance of Universal Studios (unlike The Leaky Cauldron which is all the way at the back!) and have some food allergy options for you!

***As Always, please speak to a qualified restaurant employee when ordering food. In order to see the most accurate ingredients and risk assessment, you will need to confirm allergy safety in real-time. This is my personal experience, I am not employed or endorsed by companies or brands mentioned.***
Ordering with food allergies
When you get to the cashier, ask to speak with a chef! They’ll be able to tell you what they can make that day. Always double check with a chef to confirm your options!

Food allergy friendly options at Today Cafe
For starters, they have frozen Udi’s bread that they warm up in the Turbo Chef (it’s like a fancy microwave/oven for restaurants).
The Turbo Chef comes with a dedicated allergy friendly tray, but not a dedicated Turbo Chef–so this wouldn’t be a good option for celiacs as the wheat/gluten particles would be everywhere.
However, they have lots of other options too!

There’s an Açaà bowl which can be modified with multiple fruits and nuts and seeds.

Then, there’s the bagel toast minus the bagel–so a modified bowl.
You can also do any of the bagels/sandwiches minus the bread, with just egg, meat, and cheese (or modify this as well). Or any food on a lettuce wrap.

Breakfast options that are gluten free!
What I ate that was top 8 friendly
While there were lots of options to choose from, I picked the açaà bowl! I modified it to add some fruit and remove the coconut. The chef prepared it for me with careful allergen procedures (this was one of the first places where the chef was on top of everything without any prompting regarding allergen procedures!)

This bowl was delicious! Possibly my new favorite theme park breakfast!
On our next trip we also tried a few more options!
This is the modified avocado toast- safe for many top allergens.

And my husband got this sandwich on gluten free bun. He said it tasted amazing- but I’ll have to take his word for it!
