Disney Springs has some incredible eateries, and The Boathouse has been recommended to me by several people for its allergy friendly options!
The menu is full of fish and shellfish options–good for those that enjoy this allergen, but hubby sat this one out with me!
I loved the ambiance! It was a fun restaurant, and if you sit outside the view is incredible- and it’s super close to my favorite allergy friendly bakery!
The Boathouse had some food allergy options, too. Check out the choices below- or just head straight to D-Luxe Burger if you are looking for some quick allergy friendly options. If your headed to Disney World definitely check out the Ultimate Food Allergy Foodies Beginner’s Guide to Disney World!

Ordering allergy friendly food
When I arrived I asked about an allergy menu–which they don’t have because they print their menu fresh each day to reflect the options (since they are so seafood heavy!)

They declined to serve bread (thank you!) until I spoke with the manager.
She confirmed what would be available versus those options that I wouldn’t be able to have.
The manager and server were kind–it’s always great to get good service when you are managing dietary needs! They gave the table close by with allergies the same care and that makes me so happy!

Food allergy options available at The Boathouse
While they normally serve bread at the table, and they do have an allergy friendly bread, it’s the Udi’s table rolls.
Interestingly, they have a Tamarand-based soy-free soy sauce. There is also a gluten-free, MSG-free seasoning salt on the tables.

They also have Corn tortillas as well as Lettuce wraps.
But it’s important to note that they do not have a dedicated fryer.
It is a shared fryer and the manager said they “put everything in there” so it’s not recommended for any allergens.
So, you can sub French fries for garden potatoes or baked potatoes at no charge. Asparagus is an up charge.
Appetizers were a little lacking–but for entrees there were quite a few options.

For those with a top 8 allergy, I would recommend the steak with potatoes and veggies.
This is not a Disney Owned restaurant but the service and accommodations were nice. If I had to pick a boat style restaurant, I’m still going to go with the Skipper Canteen.

I grabbed the grouper with veggies.

Let me say, this is one of the most flavorful dishes I’ve had a Disney World.
Highly recommend!
My food came out with allergy sticks and the server confirmed before giving me my dish.

Conclusion
If you are in Disney Springs this is a recommended table service option!
Plus, you can take your receipt to get a discount on the Amphicar ride! I’m definitely doing this with the kids when they are older so this is good to know!
