Overly Pepperminty Beignets debut at Port Orleans for the Holidays

You won’t hear me complain much, because I know I’m privileged to eat these options weekly and have a safe place for allergies nearby. I do try to give options the benefit of the doubt and not rank below 5/10.

But these Peppermint Beignets are not it, and not worth your money.

Found at Port Orleans Resort, these peppermint beignets are over the top pepperminty. Good news… they still have the regular ones for sale which I recommend!

Seasonal Peppermint Beignets

The Beignets at Port Orleans are fan favorites, and those with special diets travel to the resort from the parks and surrounding areas for a taste at deliciousness!

But the Peppermint Beignets are wild with their flavor! The Beignet base is the same, and then the chocolate sauce is imbued with peppermint oil/flavoring that makes it so spicy you can’t taste anything else. I loved how cute the peppermint sprinkles were and think a balance of less peppermint would be the right step.

Author’s Note: I do think this could be in response to the ‘Pumpkin Spice’ Beignets having literally no flavor. Likely the Culinary Team is trying to strike a balance between flavor and guest satisfaction. I look forward to their next modification and hope they trial that one longer than they did the peppermint.
