The Toys are here to play at the new Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Hollywood Studios Toy Story Land!
This new Table Service sit down location is incredibly themed, with so many cute touches (that I won’t spoil below, as the little surprises make it magical!)
Let’s look at the Allergy Options, including Photos, Reviews, and whether or not it will be worth it for your trip below!

***As Always, please speak to a qualified restaurant employee when ordering food. In order to see the most accurate ingredients and risk assessment, you will need to confirm allergy safety in real-time. Quick FAQs
The Restaurant is located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which means you’ll need a valid ticket or pass, and a park pass reservation.
The Restaurant does take reservations, and these will be recommended in the first year or two for popularity. Walkup’s will likely be slim.
Open for Lunch and Dinner, plan to pay $25 for kids 3-9 and $45 for adults. This is served Family Style (AND I would argue that this a LOT of food. It’s All you care to enjoy for the main course and has plenty of options).
A Chef is available to talk to, and the ipad ingredients are some of the most developed I’ve seen recently. I was very impressed with how easy it was to navigate the ingredients using the ipads search bar. I’m so hopefully for that ipad style of. ingredient list (where you can search, and it’s not a PDF graphic) to make its way to other locations.

Gluten Free and Allergy Menu of Disney’s Roundup Rodeo!
Appetizers
The Prospector’s Homemade Cheddar Biscuits with Sweet Pepper Jelly Allergy Friendly Bread service for Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies (I do think we’ll see a Gluten Free and Full Allergy Bread option likely off menu)
They DO have the Bloomfield Farms Rolls which are top 9 free, so that’s what I got! Learn more about the Bloomfield Farms Products at Disney Here.
The Top 9 allergens as recognized by Disney are: Wheat/Gluten (listed together, ask in person for specifics!), Dairy/Milk, Soy (typically soy protein, sometimes leaves out lecithin and oil from menus), Egg, Peanut/Treenut (listed together, ask in person for specifics!), Fish/Shellfish (listed together, ask in person for specifics!). As of 2023, they are adding Sesame to new menus and menu updates.

Rootin’ Tootin Tomato Salad with Cucumbers, Pickled Red Onion, White Balsamic Vinaigrette For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies.
A classic vinegary veggie salad!

Rex’s Romaine and Kale Salad Apples, Dried Cranberries, Pumpkin Seeds, Green Goddess Dressing For Fish/Shellfish, Sesame, and Soy Allergies.
Made Gluten/Wheat Friendly by removing the Croutons. The Goddess Dressing is very ‘ranch-y’ (and I got mine on the side)

Wheezy’s Watermelon Salad Fresh-torn Mint For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies
Literally just watermelon and mint leave topping.

Entree Platter (choose one)
Enjoy a Platter of all the Following House-Smoked Items:
- Evil Dr. Smoked Ribs (Friendly For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies)
- Buttercup’s Beef Brisket (Friendly For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies)
- There’s a Sausage in my Boot – Fire-grilled Pork Sausage (Friendly For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies)
- BBQ Chicken – with Style! (Friendly For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies)
Trixie’s Plant-based Trio
- Combat Carloflower with Harissa Drizzle and Walnut Gremolata (Friendly For Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut, Soy Allergies)
- Scrumptious Bratwurst (Friendly For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies)
- Rip Roarin’ Rib Chop (Friendly For Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, and Sesame Allergies)
I ended up getting a combo mix after reviewing the ingredients with the Chef. The BBQ Chicken comes with a premade brine that had ‘natural flavors’ and ‘ spice blend’ with no ingredients or gluten free label. So I skipped that and the sausages.
Instead, I got the Brisket (Delicious!), the Ribs (very yummy) and the Plant Based Bratwurst which is Beyond Sausage (and certified Gluten Free)

Sides for the Table (Pick four)
Mean Old Potato Salad
Homestyle Red-skinned Potatoes For Gluten/Wheat, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies.
This was a nice creamy potato salad. I do prefer a yellow mustard based potato salad as that feels more southern BBQ for me.

The Married Spuds
Loaded Potato Barrels For Gluten/Wheat, Fish/Shellfish, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies
Cheesy and flavorful, I can see why the Served loved the Married Spuds! She recommended them to me as my last option as I was happy to try them. These are made in a dedicated fryer and you can have the cheese sauce (Dairy) removed.

Veggie Slaw
For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies
A classic slaw. Again, as a southerner I was expecting a bit more creamy to it, but it was a nice light slaw that complimented the meal.

Campfire-roasted Vegetables
Plant-based For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies
This was a nice blend of roasted veggies! It had a subtle spicy after taste that sensitive palettes would not enjoy.

Not Pictured or Reviewed but included as options on your trip:
Force Field Fried Pickles
For Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies
Slinky Doooooooooog’s Mac & Cheese
For Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies
Buckin’ Baked Beans
For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies
Cowpoke Corn on the Cob
Grilled Street Corn For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies
Desserts (Pick one)
Goat’s Apple Pie For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, and Soy Allergies
Originally, this was listed as a Soy Free Dessert, but it does have Soy Lethcin and Soy Oil (not soy protein) so there are no All Forms Soy Allergy Friendly Desserts.
That said, I can have Lethicin and Oil, and was able to enjoy this Apple Pie.
This is a new favorite dessert, with a crumbly top and bottom, creamy dairy top and crunchy apples in the middle!
Made with Bob’s Red Mill Flour and a few other ingredients, I was impressed with how sweet, yet balanced the flavors were! It was a very well made dessert.

Not Pictured:
Bo’s Lemon and Blueberry Cheesecake For Gluten/Wheat, Fish/Shellfish, Peanut/Tree Nut, and Sesame Allergies
Billy’s Chocolate Silk Pie For Fish/Shellfish, Peanut/Tree Nut, and Sesame Allergies
Gruff’s Peach-Strawberry Pie For Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Fish/Shellfish, Milk, Peanut/Tree Nut, and Sesame Allergies
Drinks
I tried two drinks, one was included, the other was an additional price.
For starters, the Peach Ice Tea was included. I loved the light flavor, and it paired really well with the BBQ.
The next was the Snake Eyes Margarita. When I say that this could be dangerous… it was so light and refreshing that I could have easily had more than one ! It’s made with Teremana Tequila and fresh squeezed Watermelon juice.

My Overall Review
I went in with some very high expectations based off the Allergy Menus and Media reviews.
On the one hand, I’m very impressed with the volume of Allergy and Gluten Free options, and the spread of food.
On the other hand, as a born and raised Floridian, I had a different idea of what BBQ would mean. I was thinking more of a southern style, while this has some southern and northern BBQ options. This isn’t a complaint… just an expectation that wasn’t quite met. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it more the second time I go in a few weeks, as I’ll know what to expect!
The only thing I’m disappointed with is the lack of an Allergy Inclusive Dessert. There is no ‘all forms soy’ free dessert, and there is no top 8/top 9 allergy friendly dessert. I was told by the Chef that if we did a Special Diets order form two weeks in advance, they could grab the Sorbet from another Restaurant. I have issue with the sorbet because it has a ‘may contain’ statement for many top allergens and is not suitable for some folks.
At 80 dollars after one drink plus tip, this was a ‘moderate worth it’ for me. If this is a once in a lifetime vacation, I’d definitely recommend it. If you are on a Budget, this could be a very filling lunch, and if you have Toy Story Fans it’s a definite yes.
But for those looking for more of a Character Experience (which this is not), it would be better to do an actual character meal when you compare the price and the food options.

Would you enjoy this option?
You would enjoy this location if you are looking for themed dining, All You Care to Enjoy Entrees, and a place to sit in the air conditioning for an hour! This is a good mix of veggies, carb heavy sides and meaty entrees with a perfectly sized dessert to end the meal.
