Disney World is going all out the next two years in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the parks.

They’ve got lots of little things and lots to look forward to. Let’s take a look at what they have planned (well, the big plans!) for 2020 and 2021.

(But first: would you like to know how to get free stuff at Disney World? Of course you would! Check out this post to find out how!)

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

People are going bonkers over this, especially with all the new hype at Hollywood Studios over Star Wars!

Star Wars Hotel: The Galactic Star Cruiser

And speaking of Star Wars–we’re anxiously awaiting more detail on the new hotel, supposedly a “cruise on land.” I’m interested to see if it lives up to all the hype.

Three new places to eat!

Regal Eagle

A salute to BBQ: we came, we saw, we loved it! It’s tucked back in the American Pavilion at Epcot and it’s LOVE!

Space 220

Also at Epcot, we’re looking forward to more details about the Space 220 restaurant that uses an elevator to shoot guests up into space! Can’t wait to see what this is all about.

Roundup Rodeo

This is a MUCH needed edition to Hollywood Studios, this is a quick serve in Toy Story Land. Construction has already started so we’ll know soon enough when this has an opening date!

Three new rides!

Remy’s Ratatouille

Located in Epcot, you can see the construction and entrance from the new skyliner. Should be open this summer.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

You’ll find this new indoor roller coaster in Epcot towards the main entrance (rope drop is gonna be interesting!) and it is opening in 2021.

Tron

If you’ve wondered why the railroad has been shut down at Magic Kingdom, it’s because of Tron! You can get a really good glimpse of this from the people mover ride. Opening in 2021.

HarmonioUS: nighttime show at Epcot

“The largest nighttime show for a Disney Park” will debut in 2020.

Cinderella’s Castle gets a facelift

Supposedly done by the summer, Cindy’s castle is getting a new look.

Also, there will be a new hotel in 2022–and I know this doesn’t fit with the post but y’all–a Princess Tiana-themed restaurant is coming to the new resort, Reflections, in 2022 and I am so excited!

In fact, Disney is changing a crazy number of things to celebrate the 50th anniversary, and my friends over at Polka Dots and Pixie Dust have a complete list of all the details.
