New Allergy eats are always a cause to celebrate… and this new cupcake is extra special!

Disney World has introduced a new Top 8 allergy free+ gluten free option. Called the Black and White, this cupcake is made in a shared facility using allergy procedures.

The cupcake is also plant based! It is a banana flavored chocolate base, with a vanilla flavored icing. It contains no artificial dyes.

Where to find the Cupcake

The Black and White Cupcake can be found at all of the Value Resorts and Several of the Moderate Resorts. See more Snacks and Desserts inside the Touring Plan and Snack Guide.

Find it at:

  • All three All Star Resorts at the quick serve
  • Art of Animation Resort
  • POP Century Resort
  • Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Port Orleans French Quarter
  • Port Orleans Riverside

Black and White Cupcake Review

My only complaint with this cupcake is how it’s wrapped. It comes in it’s own container, and the base is covered in a purple wrapper.

And yall, it’s hard to get unwrapped!

Aside from the wrapping snafu- the flavors are quite nice. It was nicely baked, but not dry, and had a bit of bounce. Some gluten free options are rather dense, and this one is on the denser side, but paired with the icing it balances out.

The icing was my favorite! It has some crunchy pieces on top, and it’s not overly flavored or colored making it taste fantastic (some items are so fake flavored it really tastes disgusting- but not this one!)

I would absolutely recommend and will be getting again. Prefer an item that is cooked in a dedicated allergy friendly facility? Head to Erin Mckenna’s instead!

Overall, YAY for Disney World taking our comment into account and adding more baked goods. I’m so excited to see where this goes in the future!
