Hollywood studios, previously known as MGM studios, is one of the ‘smaller’ parks on property.
Previously, it was a half day park, but with several updates in the last few years the park is much more tourist friendly.
Including the addition of several allergy friendly locations, plus changes to all of the menus to accommodate more of us with dietary needs!
Galaxy’s Edge has it’s own section, you can find the Galaxy’s Edge Allergy Friendly + Gluten Free Guide here.
***As Always, please speak to a qualified restaurant employee when ordering food. In order to see the most accurate ingredients and risk assessment, you will need to confirm allergy safety in real-time. This is my personal experience, I am not employed or endorsed by companies or brands mentioned.***
Best Allergy Friendly Quick Serve at Hollywood Studios
The best place to head if you have a Food Allergy would be Rosie’s All American Cafe on Sunset Blvd, plus right next door at Catalina Eddie you can get Allergy Friendly and Gluten Free pizza cooked in a dedicated oven.
Docking Bay 7 or Woody’s Lunchbox, both of which have a limited number of Allergy Friendly options, are very friendly and fun. but the lines + location can be hard to access.
AND they are one of the few parks that have allergy friendly breakfast at the Quick Serves.
You can get the Totcho bowl or the sandwiches at Woody’s Lunchbox.
The totchos can be easily modified and friendly for all top allergens, they offer dairy free cheese, you can add or subtract eggs, sauces and gravies. This is a very customizable item! Plus they offer Udi’s Gluten Free/Allergy Friendly Bread to get a sandwich even for breakfast.
And you can also get Overnight oats and a plant based wrap at Ronto Roasters in Galaxy’s Edge. The Overnight oats list Milk as an allergen (no others listed) and are currently made with Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Oats.
See all the recommended places to eat at Hollywood Studios inside the Disney World Food Allergy Touring Plan.
Best Allergy Friendly Table Service at Hollywood Studios
Absolutely 50’s Prime Time Cafe. This location has a healthy number of allergy friendly options.
Sci- Fi Diner is also a fun option, though I don’t recommend it for younger kids or those that don’t want to see a man stabbed by a giant alien on screen.
Mama Melrose is *just ok* as is Hollywood and Vine Character Meal. Just a skyliner ride away is Topolino’s at Riveria Resort, and that’s the character meal I’d recommend if you want a Character Meal on your Hollywood Studios Day.
Notable Allergy Friendly Snacks at Hollywood Studios
Blue and Green Milk in Galaxy’s Edge. Only listed allergen is Coconut.
Parmesan Chips at FairFax Fare, which list Milk, Soy and are made in a shared Gluten Full Fryer.
Babybel Cheese- it’s all over the parks, but it’s fun to eat it in Toy Story Land where there is lifesized Cheese Displays
Ice Cream at Hollywood Scoops. They have Tofutti Vanilla and Chocolate. As well as Vanilla and Chocolate Ice cream that only list Milk as the allergen (no corn on some flavors)
And the strangest snack is going to be this andoan fruit found in the Galaxy’s Edge section of the parks.
