With the roll out of Allergy Menus the last few years, Disney has added a lot of options for the Allergy Community. What started as a few random Physical Allergy Menus at Disney World has bloomed into Physical and Digital Allergy Menus, Allergy Mobile Ordering, inclusion at Special Events to name a few.
Now, Disney updated the Digital Menus to reflect a much needed clarification.
Before the Allergy Menus, in Bold, the new Disclosure reads:
” Guests must speak to a Cast Member about their allergy-friendly request. “

Previously, the only note was at the bottom on the page, in the footer section. This paragraph long disclaimer let’s guests know that their allergy procedures are reasonable but not guaranteed.
This was also added to the MyDisneyExperience App.

It seems like Disney felt the need to add more instructions. Hopefully this will lead to higher Guest Satisfaction and less reactions.
It’s always recommended to talk to an Allergy Trained Staff Member, like a Coordinator, Chef or Manager who can clarify the options for you in real time.
