Disney’s Grand Floridian is absolutely beautiful, and with the Character Meal there still closed, breakfast options are somewhat limited!
You can enjoy Table Service at the Cafe, or do a grab and go breakfast at the quick serve right down the outside walkway.
We grabbed a reservation here and enjoyed an allergy friendly and gluten free meal, including some items that weren’t on the menu!
Our Allergy Friendly Grand Floridian Cafe Breakfast!
I am a big fan of checking with the Chef/Manager at check in (or even a few hours before if you are in the area) as sometimes the menu items are totally off.
For my allergies, I was pretty limited on the menu options and wanted to know about Mickey Waffles!

Good news! The mickey waffles are the top 8 friendly brand, even though it wasn’t on the allergen menu, and I was able to have a perfect meal!

We also had plain Udi’s Gluten Free and Top 7 free bagels (contains egg).

Plus eggs, Top 8 Free Bread, bacon and/or sausage, and hashbrowns.

Other items on the menu include: Salmon, Steak, and the Impossible Burger. Plus Lobster Benedict, Quiche, Yogurt, Turkey Sausage, Salads and Fruit.
The Chef was able to speak with me, and there were a lot of modifications available as the Chef had access to so many raw ingredients.
Some Tips for Grand Floridian Cafe
This is not the first time we’ve seen issues with the menu items not properly displaying the options for those of us with dietary needs. It always pays to check with the chef and check items ahead of time!
For this location I highly recommend a reservation, but you can also do walkup through the My Disney Experience App pretty easily. Also consider other options on the Monorail Loop if this one doesn’t have availability!
You can also find many of these options next door at the quick serve location, Gasparilla Island Grill.
