Gluten Free Rolls at Disney World

There’s one thing the entire Gluten Free Community can agree on, there is nothing like a Gluten Free Bread Service!

In a world where the Gluten Free bread tends to be rare at Commercial Kitchens, it’s refreshing that Disney World has options for Gluten Free Dinner Rolls.

For more details for Gluten Free Disney World, see the most comprehensive guide on the internet!

Where does Disney get their gluten free bread?

The Dinner Rolls, Hamburger Buns, Hotdog Buns are mostly made by Bloomfield Farms. Occasionally Udi’s Brand Buns will be used, but this is rare as Disney has switched over to consistently using Bloomfield Farms Gluten Free Wholesale Breads. Bloomfield Farms has a Dedicated Gluten Free production.

Does Disney have Gluten Free Sandwich Bread?

Yes! In many locations this is Bloomfield Farms Gluten Free Wholesale Breads. But at some locations, like Boardwalk Deli Quick Service on the Boardwalk, Udi’s Commercial Bread is used (and the bread is so large, it defies the laws of Gluten Free Bread Physics)

You can learn more about Bloomfield Farms products at their website (and FYI, we’re not affiliate or sponsored or any of that jazz… I just know how helpful it is to investigate options before consuming!)

In order to see the most accurate ingredients and risk assessment, you will need to confirm allergy safety in real-time. The Most Common Brand of Gluten Free Rolls at Disney World in 2023

The most common Gluten Free Dinner Roll found at Disney World is made by Bloomfield Farms. These are commercial rolls that are only available wholesale (meaning you won’t be able to buy them in stores!)

They are labeled Gluten Free and come prepackaged in individual plastic (though chefs may warm them and put them in a basket for presentation purposes).

These rolls are generally soft and slightly chewy and pair well with butter (including the dairy free/gluten free butter found at most table service options).

Occasionally you’ll get a freezer burnt roll or one that wasn’t cooked all the way. I’m not sure what type of quality control is happening at the manufacturer or the Chefs at Disney (maybe they haven’t eaten one to see how bad the freezer burnt options are). I generally ask for a replacement!

Any Allergens in the Rolls?

For my Gluten Free folks who also have other dietary needs, you’ll be happy to know that the current recipe for the Bloomfield Rolls does not include any Top 8 Allergens.

So if you are Dairy and Gluten Free, you can enjoy these!

Egg and Gluten? Good to go!

Not Gluten but looking for allergen details? Also good!

As Always, be sure to check in person with qualified staff (At Disney, that’s a Chef, Coordinator or Manager) and double check for your needs.

The Top 9 allergens as recognized by Disney are: Wheat/Gluten (listed together, ask in person for specifics!), Dairy/Milk, Soy (typically soy protein, sometimes leaves out lecithin and oil from menus), Egg, Peanut/Treenut (listed together, ask in person for specifics!), Fish/Shellfish (listed together, ask in person for specifics!). As of 2023, they are adding Sesame to new menus and menu updates.

Where can you find the Gluten Free Dinner Rolls?

Many Table Service locations have the Gluten Free Dinner Rolls, but not all. If they offer a regular bread service they typically have a Gluten Free option too! Many of them are complimentary, but some of them have paid bread service like Ale and Compass Restaurant.

You’ll also find these rolls at all of the Character Meals.

And if you’d like a twist on breakfast, head to Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort for these rolls made as ‘Tonga Toast’.

You can also find these rolls at many of the Resort Quick serves locations. Ask if they have the Gluten Free rolls or buns when placing your special diets order. I love to have these rolls with salad as it’s such a rare find when dining out.

What Brands of Bread has Disney used in the past?

It was very common to see several other types of bread available at Disney World in the past.

A common bread used for Table Service Bread Service was Ener-g Brand.

Two other brands were commonly used, LoveOven and Deannas. These are still used at Disneyland, but I haven’t seen them at Disney World in some time.
