Most people here that “Disney World is great for Gluten Free” and automatically get skeptical about how ‘great’ it really is. And we can all agree that being Gluten Free is a mix of anxiety, distrust and hunting down that Unicorn Treat.
Which is why it’s so exciting to share all about the Gluten Free Mickey Waffles at Disney World!
Does Disney World have Gluten Free Waffles?
Yes, yes they do! You can find Gluten Free Mickey Waffles at 9/10 breakfast locations at the resorts. There are only two places to find Gluten Free Mickey Waffles inside the parks: Hollywood and Vine Character Meal at Hollywood Studios and Tusker House Character Meal at Animal Kingdom. Speak with a Chef or Manager before placing your order to confirm the brand and dedicated gluten free only waffle iron.
If you are managing more than just Gluten Free, head over to the Food Allergy Mickey Waffle Guide.
What Gluten Free Waffle Mix does Disney Use?
At any time there are several Different Gluten Free Mixes found at Disney World. In 2022, the most common mixes found are Bloomfield Farms Allergy Mix, Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free, and Golden Malted Gluten Free Mix.
Does Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom offer Gluten Free Waffles?
No, Sleepy Hollow does not offer Gluten Free Waffles (or gluten free foods at all). For Gluten Free Waffles in Magic Kingdom, head to one of the nearby Monorail Resorts as breakfast options are limited since reopening.

***As Always, please speak to a qualified restaurant employee when ordering food. In order to see the most accurate ingredients and risk assessment, you will need to confirm allergy safety in real-time. Do you have to request Gluten Free mix ahead of time?
This is a question that is common on forums and other groups… because in many locations you have to request modifications early.
But at Disney World, if they have the mix, if does not need to be requested ahead of time. 90% of the locations at Disney World (that are owned by Disney) have the gluten free mix in the kitchen. There are other locations that are not owned by Disney World (the third party operating vendors) and those locations may or may not have the Gluten Free Waffle Mix.
Does Every Breakfast Location have a Gluten Free mix?
Disney World is literally it’s own ‘world’. It’s like a giant city. And giant cities have lots of great places to eat!
Since Disney World has so many breakfast locations, you’ll find waffles at 9 out of 10 locations ****at the resorts****. Most locations will have them, but some will not. If you want Mickey Waffles for sure on your vacation, see the next section to find all the best places to get Mickey Waffles.

You will have a hard time finding Gluten Free Mickey Waffles inside the parks. This is in part to many of the breakfast locations not reopening after the 2020 closure, and also a lack of menu options for the locations that have reopened.
For example, the Breakfast locations in the parks do not have gluten free Mickey Waffles with the exception of Two Character Meals (Hollywood and Vine at Hollywood Studios and Tusker House at Animal Kingdom)
What Brand of Gluten Free Waffle Mix does Disney World Use?
Disney uses a variety of Gluten Free mixes, and it’s important to note that you won’t find the same mix at all locations.
If you need a specific mix, you will need to ask if they have it. I’d love to give you a list of all the places that have each mix, but this can change weekly based on supply.
Bloomfield Farms Allergy Friendly Waffle Mix
The first brand that’s becoming more common is Bloomfield Farms Brand. This is a mix that was created by Disney Chefs for mass production. It is produced by a Third-Party Company (Bloomfield Farms owned by Blend Pak). This Mix contains: Rice Flour, Sorghum Flour, Sugar, Tapioca Starch, Baking Powder (Sodium Acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate, corn starch, monocalcium phosphate), xanthan gum, baking soda, kosher salt.
Golden Malted Gluten Free
Golden Malted also makes a Gluten Free version on shared equipment. Golden Malted Gluten Free. Here’s the ingredients for the Gluten Free Golden Malted: WHITE RICE FLOUR, DEGERMINATED YELLOW CORN FLOUR, SOY FLOUR, SUGAR, MONOCALCIUM PHOSPHATE, SODIUM BICARBONATE, SALT, CORNSTARCH, NATURAL VANILLA FLAVOR, XANTHAN GUM. (grabbed from Golden Malted’s Website)
Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free
The next mix they use that’s common at the resorts especially, is the Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Pancake Mix. Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Pancake Mix. This is made in a Gluten Free Facility. The ingredients for the Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Pancake Mix are: Gluten Free Flour Blend (Sweet White Rice Flour, Whole Grain Brown Rice Flour, Potato Starch, Whole Grain Sorghum Flour, Tapioca Flour, Xanthan Gum) Sugar, Baking Powder (MonoCalcium Phosphate, Cornstarch,Sodium Bicarbonate) Sea Salt.
I am no longer seeing Namaste Mix at Disney World (it wasn’t a favorite as the chef’s really struggled with it). Namaste was very popular 2019 and before. This means that it will be hard to find a true all forms corn free option for Mickey Waffles.
It may be possible to contact Disney Special Diets to see if Namaste Mix is used anywhere on property for those folks that need this blend.

Where Can I get Gluten Free Mickey Waffles?
Below you’ll find a combination of Quick Serve (like fast food), Table Service (sit down) and Character Meals.
Friendly reminder, you do not need to be staying on property or have a park ticket to visit the resort locations (but you will need a reservation for many of them if you are driving)
I’d suggest getting a reservation for one of the Table Service Locations, or heading to a nearby Resort when you are at the parks for the day. Not familiar with the concept? Here’s a post with info about how to go to Disney Dining outside of the parks (including without a ticket!)

Making Gluten Free Mickey Waffles at Home
First up- we need the waffle iron. Now, Mickey Waffle Irons at Disney World are commercial grade and made by Golden Malted. BUT Disney does have two DIY irons on the market for those of us looking to indulge from home (can we just fedex some waffles? Is that even a thing? I live for the day I can order Mickey Waffles on Uber Eats)
I went ahead and grabbed this larger one, while it is more expensive, I wanted the waffles that they make at Disney (they are smaller and more waffle shaped, less like a pancake!)
You can find Gluten Free Mickey Waffles at so many places around Disney World! I’d love to see those Mickey Waffles pictures, tag me on social!
