UPDATE 2020- it’s closed. Please refer to the new location, Connections Eatery. Or check out several of the other quick service locations at Regal Eagle or Sunshine Seasons for Allergy Friendly Quick Serve!
The Electric Umbrella is tucked inside Epcot to the right, and it’s the first quick- service eatery that you’ll come across as you enter the park.
It’s been a favorite for our family- mostly because of how easy and convenient it is for us to get to (unlike Sunshine Season’s where you need to go in and down which requires an escalator or an elevator!)
This is also a favorite for us because my husband can mobile order his gluten free options if he’s in a hurry to get somewhere else- though I still speak with the chef for the kids and their multiple allergies!
My son LOVES this place! they have a cute outside area under the ‘electric umbrella’ and they also have upstairs eating with a pretty decent view and a great place to people watch the throngs of crowds coming towards Mission Space and Test Track.
It is likely closing this spring 2020– but we’ll know more soon when it officially closes!
What we ate
For the kiddos we grabbed some of the safe nuggets to split with the fries.
Both the chicken nuggets and the fries have corn and soy (not protein) but are safe for other allergens.
Then some grapes and enjoy life cookies for the sides!
For us, we grabbed burgers, which is what we normally get. Though we’ve gotten the salads in the past!
The Burger buns DO have egg- but are safe for all other allergies.
